I come from a family that loves to cook and eat because we understand that it creates joy and strong communities.
Hi, I’m Ranya and I come from a long lineage of community-oriented entrepreneurs. My grandfather started his first business when he arrived in Canada in 1912, and my grandmother followed suit selling Middle Eastern food to anyone who could be enticed into trying it.
My parent’s home was always a place where neighbours and our friends would gather to eat and talk. This is why I understand the importance of community and how food creates a space where people come together to get to know one another. I’m passionate about building a strong, sustainable food system that feeds and unites everyone around us.
